We are always very happy to welcome new players.  We rehearse weekly during term time (excluding half term week):

We do not ask new players to audition but we do have a 4 week "getting to know you" period before any commitment to join the band is made.

A considerable amount of the music we play is of approximately Grade 4 and above, however we are still happy to welcome any players who may not have reached that standard as yet.

As with all community bands there is a small subscription charge, payable every year.  Among other things, this covers the rent of the rehearsal venue, insurance costs and new music. 

The current subscription rates are as follows:

Individual membership for over 18's = £15 per academic term (£45 a year)

Individual membership for under 18's and students = £7.50 per academic term (£22.50 a year)
